Ragga music (or raggamuffin) is a sub-genre of dancehall and reggae music. It is differentiated by its use of electronic instrumentation rather than traditional instruments and also for its hip hop style sampling. Ragga music originated in jamaica during the 1980s and coincided with the increasing popularity of electronic dance music (edm).
