Issue with CentovaCast Reports

Hi,

I'm trying to run my reports for listeners and data transfer (as I do every Monday) for the past week 10/26-11/1. This week, however, there seems to be no data for anything after 10/31. It's showing no activity for Sunday 11/1 which I know is incorrect. Can you please help me out with this? Thanks.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes, we can see that your stats show no data from 31/10 until today. That is odd?

We can see some very odd dates appearing in the reporting periods as well (like the year 1969 for some very bizarre reason?). So leave this with us (please do not touch the server for now) and we shall get back to you shortly.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Please get back to me ASAP and let me know what you find. I've also started getting several emails per day that the server has restarted itself. Is this related?

This isn't just this site... The service I went through has also been down causing me to have to use my personal email and an alternate domain for my site (I have 4 just for back up that redirect to one place...)

The server restarts yesterday was us. We were just seeing if restarting the server helped with the stats. We did it when there was no listeners so not to cause any disruption. So no need to worry about them.

We are still looking into this for you at the moment and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Our service has not been down. ;) The issue here only seems to be affecting this one user account where his listener stats appear to have just stopped reporting for some reason?

Please get back to me ASAP.

Sorry for the problem. We've got to the bottom of it just now. There were two instances of Icecast spawned on the 31st. This shouldn't happen but somehow the control panel managed it. This had the effect of keeping the log files from processing properly as they were never closed. We manually killed the extra instance of Icecast and manually rotated your log files which seems to have fixed the issue and your reports have caught up. Apologies once again.

Ignore those "server down" emails as it was us trying to fix the problem.
